The room really brightened right up but we could tell as soon as we finished painting that removing all that extra trim would really make the whole room feel so much more open.
But of course, feel free to triple or quadruple the recipe if you want to make a bunch to bring for a larger group!.OK, so the half cookie is just because I ate a little too much right out of the mixing bowl.. Once you’ve got your 9.5 cookies on your cookie sheet, just stick them in the fridge for 10 minutes or so and you’ll be ready to chow down guilt-free-ish!
Of course these cookies still have quite a bit of sugar in them, but the sweetness from the maple syrup is so much better than the huge amount of white sugar that the original recipe had!I’ve tried this recipe with honey too and I liked it, but it wasn’t Kennedy’s favorite because she’s not much of a honey girl..What kind of a monster am I raising over here?
Anyway, we go the maple syrup route for this recipe now..Try it out if you find yourself feeling like a bit of a chocoholic this Summer!.
In possibly the most clueless moment of my life, I just realized that I said this recipe is nut free, when it fact it’s got a lot of cocoNUT ingredients in it.
I was really thinking that this recipe is peanut-free when I created that image and wrote “nut-free”.That leaves a lot of time for a lot more adventures, twists and turns, and more than a few interesting little stories here and there I’m sure.. It’s all going to be worth it and I know I’m just going to love my little (OK, big) book when it’s done and I really hope I can create something that you’ll enjoy too!.

Funny story about that: When we first got the idea to put in this wall of cabinets in the back hall off of our master bedroom, little Jack was about 3 weeks old.Chris saw that they had a whole bunch of basic cabinetry in stock at our local Home Depot that he could just grab and toss in the back of his truck for about $100 per cabinet and I thought it was a great idea!.
